Born 1945
Trained at Stoke-on-Trent College of Art

Chris's work has a strong element of design in terms of shape but the work is 'born of his passion for the earth'. Influences include Lucie Rie (who he was good friends with), Hans Coper, Henry Moore, Ben Nicholson, Barbara Hepworth and Francis Bacon.

Chris researched and developed his own glazes for firing in his electric kiln.

He was potter in residence at Warwick Museum.
