Born in 1950, Rodney studied pottery at Harrow School of Art and then went onto work as an assistant to David Leach before setting up a joint workshop with Elizabeth Raeburn in 1975.
Since then he has exhibited widely, though in recent years he has concentrated on commissions. These have ranged from individual presents, to commemorative pieces commissioned by John Schlesinger to celebrate the premieres of his films. Others have depicted people’s “lifetime achievements”.
